Amy’s final two episodes of ‘Dollhouse’

The last few episodes of Dollhouse will be airing this month and Amy is scheduled to appear in two of them.  I will have HQ episode stills from each up soon plus HD screencaptures of her first episode from season two as well.  HD screencaptures from the new episodes will be up much sooner, I promise.

  • January 8th: Episode 2.11 – ‘Getting Closer’
  • January 15th: Episode 2.12 – ‘The Hollow Men’

‘Dollhouse’ review
Post Categories: 'Dollhouse', Articles & Reviews

The premiere isn’t for a couple more weeks but we already have a review of the first episode.  This one comes from IGN and overall, it’s positive.  Especially what they say about Amy.

This will sound like a bit of a broken record on the heels of other recent Dollhouse reviews, but the best part of this episode involves Saunders/Whiskey. Her reaction to finding out what she truly is involves some amusing and surprising actions on her part, but also some fascinating turns too – including some of the most emotional and complex material this show has dealt with so far, all of which is terrifically performed by Amy Acker. This only makes it all the more frustrating that thanks to her role on ABC’s upcoming Happy Town, Acker can only be used in a limited capacity this season.

Sneak peek at season two
Post Categories: 'Dollhouse', Media

FOX released a promotional clip of the first episode of season two and Amy is featured quite heavily in it.  It’s currently only available through iTunes but someone did manage to post it via youtube.  The quality is not the best but it’s definitely watchable.  You can view it after the cut but I warn you – it’s very spoilery!  I will try to seek out a better copy for screencaptures.

“Topher” talks season two
Post Categories: 'Dollhouse', Articles & Reviews

At this point, I’m going to assume that all my visitors who are interested in Dollhouse have watched all the episodes.  If you haven’t, read no further as this does contain spoilers.

Scifiwire recently posted a short article about the Dollhouse episode ‘Epitaph One’ and the effect it will have on the upcoming season two. In it, they talk to Fran Kranz, who plays Topher on the show, and here’s what he had to say about Amy and her character Dr. Saunders:

Even without jumping ahead, Topher has a lot to answer for when Dollhouse returns. Dr. Saunders (Amy Acker) learned she was a doll, whom Topher programmed to hate him.

“In season two, we address that pretty much immediately,” Kranz said. “Dr. Saunders—Amy Acker and I, who’s the best—we work across the hall from each other, so we can’t avoid each other. All that kind of awkwardness ensues, and it gets pretty dark. I have to answer to her eventually. That’s going to be really exciting. Right now, Topher’s a little down on himself, and he’s starting to think like, ‘Wow, one of the most beautiful things I created hates me. Maybe I’m a bad guy.’”
