Release date for ‘Dollhouse’ DVD

I received an email from FOX yesterday officially announcing the release date for Dollhouse on DVD and BluRay.  The R1 release is July 28th and you can preorder now at amazon.  I have yet to find any release information for any other region.  According to the email, the bonus features on both DVD and BluRay include:

  • 14 episodes – includes original unaired pilot ‘Echo’ and the (probably) unaired ‘Epitaph One’
  • Audio commentary with cast and crew
  • Deleted scenes
  • At least seven featurettes including a making of feature and one titled “An Urban Myth?”

I am very excited to see the two unaired episodes, especially ‘Epitaph One’ as it looks to be very surreal and dark.  I am also pleased to see that as of right now, the DVD is being called season one and not “the complete series”.   This of course could change but it does offer a small glimpse of hope while we await the official announcement which is due around May 19th.

Good news for ‘Happy Town’?

Still no official word from ABC if the series has been picked up yet but tvovermind who lists their source as Hollywood Reporter had this to say:

Flash Forward hasn’t even officially been picked up by ABC yet, and they have already started a marketing campaign, featuring promotional ads during last week’s 100th episode of Lost.  This show has an enormous amount of buzz and is already considered a sure thing.

Eastwick, based on the 1987 feature film, The Witches of Eastwick is also hot at the network right now, and Happy Town, a Twin Peaks-style mystery series starring Lost’s M.C. McGainy (as well as Sam Neill and Amy Acker) is also a front-runner.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed since a renewal for Dollhouse is looking less and less likely.

More info about ‘The Last Time I Made Straight A’s’
Post Categories: 'The Last Time...'

Amy Online’s new co-web Kayla posted earlier that Amy had a new project listed on IMDb.  Well, I did some digging and I was able to find out a little bit of information about the project.

Jane: What are you working on now?

Scoot: We have two other movies we’re producing. One of them is called The Last Time I Made Straight A’s, written and directed by Dave Cole. I’m playing the lead opposite Amy Acker, who was in Alias and Angel [also in Joss Whedon’s upcoming series, Dollhouse]. Also in that is Eddie Jemison, who was in Oceans 11, 12 and 13.

Another movie called The Last Time I Made Straight A’s. It’s an independent movie for about 500k and we’re just trying to raise the last bit of financing for that to go shoot that in August.

IMDb lists James Carpinello as one of the stars of the movie. As you all know, James is Amy’s husband and father of their two children. Kayla and I will keep you posted as we learn more.
